Laura Ruusalu
(She/Her)
I am from Estonia and found a deep passion for psychology while living abroad. Therapy with me is evidence-based, and all about building a connection with you.
Why I Do This
Growing up away from my home country, I know what it’s like to feel disconnected – like you don’t quite belong. My experiences taught me the importance of community and self-acceptance. Today, as a queer therapist, I create a safe, affirming space for you to feel truly seen and understood.

My Philosophy
I believe in the power of individuality and connection. It’s not about ‘fixing’ you; it’s about helping you embrace your authentic self while finding the meaningful relationships that make life whole. My mission is to offer you acceptance and tools to thrive as yourself—within yourself and with others.

Academic Roots
With a Research Masters Degree in Clinical and Health Psychology from Leiden University and years of academic research, I bring a scientific foundation to our sessions. But more importantly, I bring my whole self – as a therapist and someone who knows firsthand the power of therapy.
RMSc in Clinical and Health Psychology – Leiden University

A Queer Perspective
As a queer therapist, I bring my lived experience to every session. I understand the importance of feeling seen and accepted. Together, we’ll explore your identity and challenges in a space free of judgment – where you can just be yourself.
